CENTER VALLEY -- The host DeSales University women's basketball team shot a scorching 53.6 percent in the opening stanza to build a 37-22 lead and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated King's College in a MAC Freedom Conference matchup Saturday in Center Valley.

With its ninth straight win, DeSales improved to 11-2 overall and 2-1 in Freedom Conference play while the Lady Monarchs slipped to 11-3 and 3-1 while seeing its six-game win streak come to an end.

King's, which was held to its lowest point total of the year, was paced by Jen Wozniak with 13 points and eight rebounds while Beth Jordan came off the bench to add 10 points.

King's will next travel to face arch-rival University of Scranton Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the John Long Center.
