KING'S DOWNS NEUMANN, 88-50

WILKES-BARRE -- Jennie Orelli scored a care-high 19 points to lead the King's College women's basketball team to a 88-50 victory over Neumann College in the first round of the Lady Monarch Classic Friday in Scandlon Gymnasium.

With the win, King's improved to 9-2 while Neumann slipped to 1-6. 

Orelli made 6-of-9 shots from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range.  Jen Wozniak followed with 15 points and seven rebounds while Katie Lala chipped in with 12 points. 

King's advances to Saturday's 3:00 p.m. title game where it will face Kean University, a 80-75 victory over Salisbury in the other opening round matchup  Neumann and Salisbury will play in the 1:00 p.m. consolation game.

Neumann was paced by Nellie Mixon with 15 points while Kaleena Simmons chipped in with eight.
