KING'S WOMEN'S CAGERS DOWN DELAWARE VALLEY, 77-63

WILKES-BARRE -- Tiffini Varrasse scored 16 of her game-high 23 points in the first half, while Jen Wozniak netted 18 of her 22 points in the second stanza as the King's College women's basketball team posted a 77-63 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College Wednesday n Scandlon Gymnasium.

With the win, King's improved to 18-3 overall and 9-2 in MAC Freedom Conference action. The Aggies fell to 8-14 and 3-8.

Beth Jordan came off the bench to spark King's in the first half where she tallied 12 of her career-high 15 points to give the lady Monarchs a 40-30 half-time lead.

Bridget Golden led the Aggies with 21 points and 14 rebounds while Sarah Tufner added 19 points and nine boards.

King's will ravel to Lycoming Saturday for an important Freedom Conference matchup set for 6:00 p.m.
