LADY MONARCHS IMPROVE TO 4-0 WITH 79-49 WIN OVER
CABRINI
WILKES-BARRE -- Senior forward Jen Wozniak scored a
game-high 23 points to lead four double-figure scorers as the King's
College women's basketball team posted a 79-49 victory over Cabrini
College Sunday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's, ranked fourth nationally in Division III,
jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back as it took a commanding
35-19 advantage into the half-time break.
Junior point-guard Tiffini Varrasse was outstanding
for King's (4-0) with 10 points, seven steals, and six assists. Junior
guard Jennie Orelli added 10 points with six steals and four assists.
Senior center April Tanner followed 10 points while sophomore center
Kristin Yeasted contributed six points and six rebounds as 12 different
Lady Monarchs reached the scoring column. Carissa Ryan chipped in with a
team-high seven rebounds.
Cabrini (1-3) was paced by Jen Wessell with 11
points Lisa Kqira followed with nine points, while Jennifer Skursky added
eight points and five rebounds. Colleen Dorrian chipped in with seven
points and eight rebounds.
King's will travel to Madison, NJ Tuesday to face
Drew University at 6:00 p.m.
