KING'S WOMEN'S DOWN LYCOMING, 53-31
WILLIAMSPORT -- The King's College women's basketball team forced 26 Lycoming College turnovers while placing four players in double-figure scoring as the Lady Monarchs posted a 53-31 victory Monday in Williamsport.
With the win, King's improved to 5-2 on the year while Lycoming fell to 4-2.
Both teams struggled offensively as King's shot 33.3 (19-57) percent from the field while Lycoming shot a frigid 22.0 (11-50) percent from the floor.
Kaitlyn Fiorino led King's with 18 points and nine rebounds, canning four three-pointers in the process. Jenna Palumbo added 10 points and eight rebounds; Krystina Durako tallied 10 points and seven boards, while Jessica Paettie contributed 10 points and two rebounds. Lauren Kendra chipped in with five rebounds and four assists.
Alicia Engler was the only double-figure scorer for Lycoming, netting 11 points with seven rebounds. Allison Mock chipped in with six points.
King's returns to action Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs visit Gwynedd-Mercy College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
