HOCHSTUHL, COUSART NAMED TO MID-ATLANTIC
ALL-REGIONAL TEAM
WILKES-BARRE -- King's College basketball
standouts Andrea Hochstuhl (Landenberg, Pa./St.
Mark's, De.) and Jamie Cousart
(Holland, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) have been named to the
Mid-Atlantic Region All-Regional Teams by D3Hoops.com.

a third-team choice on the men's squad.
A 6-foot junior center, Hochstuhl has enjoyed
an outstanding season in leading King's to a 21-9 record as the Lady
Monarchs fell one win shy of reaching the NCAA Division III National
Tournament. King's finished second in the Freedom Conference
Tournament, then placed second in the Eastern College Athletic
Conference Southern Region Championships. On the year, Hochstuhl
averaged 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 63 blocked shots while
registering 16 double-doubles (points-rebounds) on the
year. Hochstuhl scored in double-figures in 24 of King's 30 games
during the season.
During the 2006-07 campaign, she posted career highs of 27 points
February 21 against Delaware Valley, 17 rebounds twice, and seven
blocked shots two times. Hochstuhl was a first-team All-Freedom
Conference selection and was also a three-time Freedom Conference
"Player of the Week" during the season. In her three-year letter-winner
and two-year starter at King's, Hochstuhl has totaled 756 points, 566
rebounds, and 95 blocked shots.
“We are very happy for Andrea because she had an outstanding season and
for a period of time may have been the best player in our conference,”
King’s coach Brian Donoghue. “She was dominant at both ends of the floor
and for her to come just short of averaging a double-double with the
difficult schedule we played this season, it speaks volumes about the
type of season she enjoyed.”
 Cousart
(right), meanwhile, led the Monarch men to the 2006-07 Freedom
Conference championship and the program's second NCAA Division III
National Tournament berth in the last three seasons.
A junior point-guard, the 6-3 Cousart led the
Monarchs with 13.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per-game while
scoring in double-figures in 19 of the 28 games he played in this
season. He posted a career-high 27 points November 11 against Albright
and equaled his career-high of 11 rebounds December 22 against
Misericordia.
Cousart has converted on 45.3 (124-274) percent of his shots from the
floor and 74.1 (120-161) percent from the foul line. Cousart dished out
a season-high eight assists on four different occasions during the year.
A three-year starter with the Monarchs, Cousart has totaled 925 points,
485 rebounds, and 333 assists.
“Jamie enjoyed another big year for us and was instrumental in our
success,” King’s men’s coach J.P. Andrejko stated. “There are very few
point-guards who can do the type of things Jamie can on the floor. It
is extremely rare for a point-guard to lead a team in scoring and
assists, while finishing second in rebounding. I think that says a lot
about how hard he plays on both the offensive and defensive ends and how
important he is to us.”
