CLERICI, AUDETTE NAMED MAC FREEDOM VOLLEYBALL,
MEN'S SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
WILKES-BARRE -- After the opening week of play,
two members of King's College athletic teams were honored by the Middle
Atlantic Conference Office on Tuesday.
Sophomore Kat Clerici was named the MAC Freedom Conference Women's
Volleyball "Player of the Week" while junior Cameron Audette was
selected the MAC Freedom Men's Soccer "Player of the Week"

5-11 middle hitter, Clerici (left) was named the Most Valuable Player
after lead the Lady Monarchs to the championship of the King’s
Invitational Volleyball Tournament with respective 3-0 victories over
Wilkes, Marywood, Misericordia, and Mt. St. Mary’s. In 12 games, Clerici
posted a 39.8 hitting percentage with 40 kills in 83 attempts.
Clerici, a 2006 second-team All-Freedom choice, was also a dominant
force at the net with 13 total blocks (6 solo/7 assists). She chipped in
with seven digs and three service aces as the Lady Monarchs did not drop
a single game in the event.
Audette
(right), meanwhile, stood tall for the men's soccer team despite an 0-2
week. In a 4-1 loss to Lebanon Valley, he netted one goal In a 4-3
overtime loss to Gwynedd-Mercy, he scored a career-high three goals. He
tallied eight points in two games for the Monarchs during the week.
