BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS, TICKET PRICES SET FOR
WEDNESDAY'S FREEDOM OPENERS
WILKES-BARRE -- The 2008 Freedom Conference Men's
and Women's Basketball Championships are set with King's College slated
to host a playoff doubleheader on Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The King's women concluded the regular season with a 14-11 overall
record and an 8-4 conference mark to earn the second seed. The Lady
Monarchs will host third-seeded FDU-Florham which stands at 16-9 and
7-5.
The Monarch men ended the regular-season with a 17-8 overall record
while standing 9-3 in league games to claim the number-two seed King's
will host third-seeded Manhattanville following the women's opener at
8:00 p.m. Manhattanville also stands at 16-9 and 9-3.
Tickets for the doubleheader have been set by the Middle Atlantic
Conference Offices at $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors, and $2.00 for
students. Children under age-six will be admitted free.

****Winners advance to conference final Saturday at the site of the
highest remaining seed. Game times are TBA.
