KING'S WRESTLERS THIRD AT URSINUS TOURNEY

Tournament Brackets

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College wrestling team finished third out of 10 teams at the Ursinus College Invitational Tournament Saturday.

At 133-pounds, King's junior all-American Dave Morgan dominated the field, going 3-0 with a pin and major decision before posting a 20-5 technical fall over Trevor Beard of Ursinus in the championship match.

Freshman Tony Miele was a big winner at 141-pounds, posting four victories in the event, including two pins and a 5-0 finals triumph over Ursinus' James Bloom.

At 174, King's senior Zach Dietrick was second in the field, winning three bouts before falling 4-2 to Seth Wesner of Centenary.

In the 197-pound class, Monarch senior Jason Reilly finished in third place.

Reilly advanced to the semi-finals where he dropped a 3-2 upset loss to Dennis Norton of Oneonta, a wrestler Reilly had defeated twice this season, including a win by fall in a dual meet on Wednesday.

King's heavyweight Jim Bishop was third in the event, posting a 4-2 victory over Matt Williams of Ursinus in the consolation finals.
