KING'S GRAPPLERS SECOND AT MESSIAH TOURNAMENT

GRANTHAM -- The King's College wrestling team opened the 2004-05 season with a second-place finish in the Messiah College Invitational Tournament Saturday in Grantham.

King's scored 72.0 points to trail team champion Ursinus which posted 96.5.

Jason Reilly won King's only title by pin in just 0:45 in the 197-pound finals. John Houssock, Joe Arnone and James Bishop were second at 133, 165 and 285 respectively. Houssock fell by technical fall to Messiah's Geoff Harner; Arnone fell 3-1 to Scott Roesch of Ursinus; while Bishop lost a 10-8 decision to Ray Rowe of Case Western. Chris Sullivan finished fourth at 149 pounds for the Monarchs.

King's will next host the Monarch Invitational Tournament Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
