KING'S TENNIS FALLS TO MESSIAH, 7-2
GRANTHAM -- Host Messiah College, the top-seed in
the upcoming Commonwealth Conference Tournament, downed visiting King's
College, the second-seed in the Freedom Conference Tournament, by a 7-2
count Wednesday in Grantham.
With the win, Messiah improved to 12-2 on the year while King's falls to
11-5.
Mike Portonova was victorious at number-one singles, improving to 15-1
on the year. David Kaluzavich was also victorious at number-six singles,
upping his mark to 10-5.
King's will host Elizabethtown College Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Kirby
Park.
