KING'S TENNIS DEFEATS KEYSTONE, 8-1
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis
team returned to action for the first time in 15 days but the Monarchs
improved to 4-3 on the year posted a convincing 8-1 victory over
Keystone College Sunday at Kirby Park.
King's, which last played on March 9, won two of the three doubles
matches to take a 2-1 lead. The Monarchs then put the contest away by
sweeping all six singles matches.
King's did not drop a single set during the singles competition as Mike
Portonova and Nick Hojsack led the way by winning their singles contests
by 6-0, 6-0 margins, while David Boe earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
