KING'S TENNIS DOWNS MORAVIAN, 6-1
BETHLEHEM -- The King's College tennis team evened its season mark at
10-10 as the Monarchs posted a 6-1 victory over host Moravian College
Monday in Bethlehem.
The Monarchs took a 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles
contests. King's then clinched the match by capturing five-of-six
singles bouts.
Sophomores Mike Portonova and Nick Hojsack teamed to register a win at
number-one doubles, then went on to post straight-set singles triumphs.
Portonova improved his singles mark to 19-1. Matt Dunne was also a
winner in both singles and doubles for the Monarchs.
Blake Bonser and David Boe added singles victories for King's, which
plays host to Lebanon Valley College Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Kirby Park
