APRIL 26-27, 2008KING'S BONSER, BOE ADVANCE TO SEMI-FINALS TO PACE KING'S IN MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
WILKES-BARRE -- Blake Bonser and David Boe both advanced to the semi-final round to pace the King's College men's tennis team as the Middle Individual Championships concluded Sunday at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.
Bonser and David Boe advanced to the semi-finals in their respective number three and number-five flights.
Playing the number-three singles flight, Bonser received a first-round bye, then defeated Adrell Dalsan of Arcadia, 6-1, 6-0. Bonser, however, was eliminated in the semi-finals when he dropped a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) decision to eventual champion Sam Shorts of Messiah.
Boe, who competed in the number-two flight, also received a first-round bye before earning a 6-0, 6-0 verdict over Anthony Guerriero of DeSales. In the semi-finals, Boe would fall to eventual winner William Tanis 6-2, 6-3.
