KING'S TENNIS FALLS TO LVC 5-4 IN SEASON FINALE

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team dropped its season finale as the Monarchs fell 5-4 to visiting Lebanon Valley College Tuesday at Kirby Park.  With the loss, King's ended its dual meet season with a 12-11 record while Lebanon Valley improved to 13-8.

Things began badly for King's when the Monarchs' number-one player Nick Hojsack suffered an ankle injury in warm-ups and was unable to continue.  King's was forced to move every player up a flight to play the match.

Lebanon Valley would take advantage, winning two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles. The teams would then split the six singles bouts as the Flying Dutchmen walked away with the win.

David Kaluzavich was a winner in both singles and doubles for King's, teaming with David Boe for the doubles victory.  Blake Bonser and Joe Guza picked up singles victories.

The Monarchs will now compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships Saturday and Sunday at Kirby Park and the Wilkes University Courts at Ralston Field.
