KING'S TENNIS EDGED BY MUHLENBERG

ALLENTOWN -- Host Muhlenberg College overcame a 2-1 deficit after doubles by winning four of the six singles matches as the Mules posted a 5-4 win over King's College in a non-conference men's tennis matchup Wednesday in Allentown.

With the win, Muhlenberg improved to 7-3 while King's slipped to 8-8.

King's took a 2-1 lead after doubles as the teams of Nick Hojsack and Jon Hand, along with Blake Bonser and David Kaluzavich were winners for the Monarchs.

But Muhlenberg would fight back to win four singles bouts, including a pair of critical three-set wins to clinch the match. At number-one singles Muhlenberg's Robbie Goldwein outlasted Hojsack 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. At number-two singles, Brian Wernick of Muhlenberg bested rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Hand 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Bonser and Kaluzavich were winners in singles for the Monarchs, who travel to face Moravian Thursday at 4:00 pm in Bethlehem.
