KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DOWNS DEL-VALLEY, 2-1
WILKES-BARRE -- Junior Ryan Symons scored the game winning goal with
2:33 left in the game as host King's College posted a 2-1 win against
Delaware Valley College Saturday afternoon at Betzler Fields.
With the win King's improves to 4-6-2
overall, while Delaware Valley drops to 2-11 overall.
Sophomore Josh Oman put Delaware Valley
on the board first with a goal at the 40:33 mark of the second period
giving the Aggies a 1-0 lead. Junior Cameron Audette tied the game for
King's with a goal at the 15:18 mark of the second period off an assist
from Symons. Symons would then net the game winner off an assist from
freshman Kevin Moulton to seal the win for the Monarchs.
King's outshot Delaware Valley 19-5,
while holding a 11-2 advantage in corner kicks. Senior goalie John
McNichol had three saves in net for the Monarchs.
King's will return to action Wednesday
when the Monarchs host Manhattanville for a game at 3:30 pm at Betzler
Fields.
