KING'S MEN'S SOCCER POSTS 5-2 WIN OVER KEYSTONE
LaPLUME -- Cameron Audette scored two goals and added an assist to
lead the King's College men's soccer team to a 5-2 victory over host
Keystone College Wednesday in LaPlume.
King's opened the scoring at 35:04 of the first half when Ryan
Murphy scored off an assist from Audette. Keystone would send the
game into a 2-2 half-time tie when Andrew Siwale scored on a pass by
Jarrod Root.
The Monarchs used two quick second half goals by Audette, the first
coming off an assist by Dan Mortenson at 34:22 and the second on a
penalty kick five minutes later to build a 3-1 advantage. King's
would increase the lead when Kevin Moulton struck net on an assist
from Grant Parsons with 13:31 remaining.
The Giants would make it a 4-2 game when Jamie Ellis scored at 9:11,
but the Monarchs added their final score with just 0:53 left when
Steve Saylor scored off a pass by Mike Buckwash.
King's out shot Keystone 20-11 and held a 5-1 advantage in corner
kicks.
Monarch goalie John McNichol made eight saves while Keystone keepers
Ryan Wagner and Ryan Gilroy combined for 11 stops.
