KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS AT LYCOMING, 4-1
WILLIAMSPORT -- Chris Lorenzet scored two goals
and Mike Coates added two assists to lead host Lycoming College to a 4-1
victory over King's College Thursday in Williamsport.
With the loss, King's fell to 5-11 overall and 1-5 in Freedom Conference
play while Lycoming improved to 5-7-3 and 2-3-1.
Lycoming took a 2-0 halftime lead on goals by Lorenzet and Scott Eriksen.
Dan Marcin would push the lead to 3-0 at 64:57 before the Monarchs got
on the board when Jordan Miller scored off an assist from Brandon Heller
to cut the lead to 3-1 at 71:42. Lycoming would close out the scoring
when Lorenzet scored his second goal of the day at 83:46 to put the game
away.
Lycoming outshot King's 14-12 and held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.
King's goalies John McNichol and Mike Conroy combined for eight saves.
King's will travel to face Susquehanna University Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
in Selinsgrove.
