AUDETTE POWERS KING'S TO 3-2 WIN OVER BBC
CLARKS SUMMIT -- Sophomore forward Cameron Audette scored one goals and
handed out two assists to lead the King's College men's soccer team to a
3-2 victory over host Baptist Bible College Monday in Clarks Summit.
With the win, King's improved to 4-9 while Baptist Bible slipped to
7-6-1.
King's would push across the first goal of the game at 4:05 when Audette
scored off an assist from Mark Timko. Just 0:41later, Jordan
Miller struck net off an assist from Audette.
The Defenders would cut the lead to 2-1 when Josh Pyper scored at 18:23,
but the Monarchs would extend the lead when Nate Buckwalter converted a
goal off of Audette's second assist with at 30:18 to give the Monarchs a
3-1 halftime lead.
Baptist Bible would score the final goal of the game on an Eric Shelner
tally at 59:14.
Baptist Bible outshot King's 12-10 with each team taking corner kicks.
Mike Conroy made six saves in goal for the Monarchs
The Monarchs will return to action Friday
with a 3:00 p.m. contest at Gwynedd-Mercy College. King's then hosts Delaware Valley
College Sunday in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
