KING'S MEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALLS TO RUTGERS-NEWARK
WILKES-BARRE -- Host Rutgers-Newark University scored a goal in each
half to post a 2-0 victory over King's College Thursday night in Newark,
NJ.
With the loss, King's slipped 3-8 to while Rutgers-Newark improved to
4-7-1.
Rutgers-Newark broke through with the first goal of the game with just
1:00 minute remaining in the first half when Solomon Nnanna scored off
an assist from Gilmar Colonia. The Scarlet Raiders would push
across an insurance goal with 13:00 remaining in the contest when Vinny
Porta converted a pass from Joe Tutalo into the final score of the game.
King's would outshoot Rutgers-Newark 13-8 in the game. Monarch
goalie Mike Conroy made six saves while Rutgers-Newark keeper registered
nine stops.
