KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS FDU IN SEASON-FINALE, 4-1
MADISON, NJ -- Four different players scored goals as the King's College
men's soccer team wrapped up its season with a 4-1 victory over host
FDU-Florham Saturday in Madison, NJ.
With the win, King's concludes its season with a 6-10-1 overall mark
while standing 2-3-1 in the MAC Freedom Conference. FDU finished at 4-10
overall and 1-6 in conference play.
King's took a 1-0 lead when Eric Schmieder scored off a Dan Gibbons
assist at the 38:00 mark of the first half. Mark Nessle game King's a
2-0 lead off another assist from Gibbons at 26:00. FDU got on the board
when James Durham struck net off an assist from Sabino Sellito with
22:00 remaining in the opening stanza.
In the second half, Jordan Miller scored on an assist from Brett Shipe
at 35:00 while Jim McMichael rounded out the scoring with a goal off a
pass from Miller with 25:00 remaining.
Dan Upton picked up the win in goal for King's with 10 saves while FDU
keeper Greg Bezza posted five stops.
