KING'S BOOTERS FALL TO DESALES, 4-0

WILKES-BARRE -- The DeSales University men's soccer team scored two goals in each half as the Freedom Conference first-place Bulldogs posted a 4-0 victory over host King's College Monday at Betzler Fields.

With the win, DeSales improved to 11-2-2 overall and 5-0-1 in Freedom Conference play while King's slipped to 5-10-1 and 1-3-1.

German Reyes and Randy Sturm tallied first-half goals to put the Bulldogs ahead at the break. Westin Wolfenden and Tim Hall would add scores in the second stanza to put the game away.

DeSales outshot King's 19-to-14 and held a 7-to-5 advantage in corner kicks.

King's goalie Danny Roth made seven saves while teammate John McNichol added two stops. DeSales goalie Rusty Riedmiller made eight saves for DeSales.

The Monarchs will next travel to face Susquehanna University Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Selinsgrove.
