MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO WIDENER, 2-0
CHESTER -- Host Widener University score one goal in each half to post a
2-0 victory over King's College Saturday in Chester. With the win,
Widener improved to 4-2 on the year while King's slipped to 2-5.
The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead at 33:55 of the first half when Ryan
Sullivan scored off an assist from Doug Gabels. Widener would add an
insurance goal just 0:13 into the second half when Josh Musser scored
following a pass from Sean Matthews.
Widener outshot King's 11-7 on the day. Monarch goalie Dan Upton posted
eight saves while Widener goalie Mike Huminski made five stops.
King's will next host Lycoming Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in a Freedom
Conference matchup at Betzler Fields.
