KING'S MEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALLS IN OVERTIME TO MISERICORDIA

WILKES-BARRE --  Jordan Aungst scored the game-winning goal with 7:58 remaining in the first overtime period as host College Misericordia posted a 2-1 victory over King's College in a non-conference  men's soccer game Wednesday evening in Dallas.

With the loss, the Monarchs fell to 1-3 on the season while Misericordia improved to 2-1.

Misericordia took a 1-0 lead at 41:43 of the first half when Colin Hynes scored off an Aungst assist.  The Monarchs knotted the score at 1-1 when Brandon Stanchock scored on a header off of a pass from mark Wallis just 5:26 later.

The teams would play scoreless soccer for the next 90:35 until Aungst knocked in a rebound past Monarch goalie Danny Roth.

Misericordia outshot King's 10-4 and held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
