KING'S MEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALLS TO DESALES
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's soccer team failed to hold
onto a 2-0 second half lead as the Monarchs dropped a 3-2 decision to
host DeSales University Saturday in Center Valley.
With the loss, King's fell to 8-10-1 overall and 3-4 in the Freedom
Conference. DeSales improved to 12-7 and 6-1 in conference play.
King's took a 1-0 lead just 9:38 into the game when Jordan Miller scored
off an assist from Brandon Stanchock. King's took the lead into
the second half and increased the advantage to 2-0 when Miller scored
off a crossing pass from Dan Gibbons at 66:34.
DeSales answered on a goal by Joe Rinchiusi at the 71:58 mark.
Rinchiuso would tie the score at 78:25.
DeSales pushed across the winning goal with 7:45 remaining in the
contest on a goal by Randy Sturm.
