MONARCH SOCCER TEAM FALLS TO LYCOMING, 2-0
WILLIAMSPORT -- Phil Kratochvil scored one goal
and assisted ion another to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team
to a 2-0 victory over visiting King's College Tuesday in Williamsport.
With the win, Lycoming improved to 10-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the MAC
Freedom Conference. King's slipped to 6-7 and 2-2 in conference play.
Lycoming took a 1-0 lead at 37:15 of the first half when Dan Jackson
scored off an assist from Kratochvil. The Warriors would score an
insurance goal with 22:00 remaining when Kratochvil scored on a penalty
kick.
King's outshot Lycoming 21-19 and held a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Monarch goalie Dan Upton made eight saves.
King's will return to action Thursday when the Monarchs travel to face
Philadelphia Biblical University at 4:00 p.m.
