KING'S BOOTERS DOWN WILLIAM PATERSON
WILKES-BARRE -- Brandon Heller scored two goals
and added an assist as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 5-0
victory over visiting William Paterson University Saturday at Betzler
Fields.
With the win, King's improved to 6-6 while the
Pioneers fell to 2-11.
King's took a 1-0 lead with just 1:49 left in the
half when Brandon Stanchock headed in a crossing pass from Sean Wooster.
The Monarchs would up the lead to 2-0 just 3:24
into the second half when Heller scored unassisted. Heller would follow
with another unassisted tally with 24:15 remaining before Brett Shipe
gave the Monarchs a 3-0 advantage off a pass from Heller with 7:33 left
in the contest. King's added the final goal with just 0:07 on the clock
when Mike Everhart struck net off an assist from Andrew Petrick.
Dan Upton made seven saves to post the shutout win.
King's travels to Williamsport on Tuesday for a
4:00 p.m. match with Lycoming College.
