KING'S MEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALL TO KEYSTONE IN OT

La Plume --  Ben Amankwah scored the game-winning goal with just twenty-three seconds left in the first overtime to lift the host Keystone College men's soccer team to a 4-3 victory over King's College

The victory improves Keystone's record to 5-4-1 while King's falls to 4-6.

Ryan Kelly got the Giants on the board early with a goal at the 7:29 mark off an assist from Julian Irolla.  Kelly built Keystone's lead to 2-0 at the half when he scored off an assist from Idrissa Sidibe at the 38:11 mark.

The Monarchs cut the lead to one just five minutes into the second half when Dan Gibbons connected from Jordan Miller.  Adam Lemanski stretched the lead to 3-1 when he found the net at the 66:14 mark off an assist from Tom Golumbfskie.

Brandon Heller inched King's closer at the 80:26 mark before a Mike McGarry's penalty kick with just 0:41 remaining knotted the score at 3-3 and sent the game to overtime.

With darkness looming, as well as a second overtime, Amankwah nailed home the game winner off an assist from Irolla at 104:37 to give Keystone the victory.

Graham Duuglas made eight saves in net for the Giants, while Danny Roth stopped seven for King's

The Monarchs return to action Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Marywood.
