KING’S MEN’S SOCCER DOWNS LINCOLN TO ADVANCE TO TOURNEY FINAL

  BROCKPORT, NY – Brett Shipe scored the game winning goal with just 2:00 remaining to snap a 1-1 tie as the King’s College men’s soccer team posted a 2-1 victory over Lincoln University to advance to the title game of the Brockport University Invitational Tournament Saturday in Brockport, NY.

  King’s took a 1-0 lead at 29:36 of the first half when Mike McGarry scored an unassisted goal.  Lincoln knotted the score at 1-1 with 10:00 remaining in the contest when Olwwaffemi Badejo scored on a penalty kick, setting up Shipe’s heroics.

King’s (1-1) outshot Lincoln 17-10 and held a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks.
