KING'S SOCCER POSTS CRUCIAL WIN OVER LYCOMING
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's soccer
team kept its MAC Freedom Conference playoffs hopes alive when Jordan
Miller scored the only goal of the game to lead the Monarchs to a 1-0
victory over Lycoming College Tuesday at Betzler Fields.
Miller scored off an assist from Brandon Heller at
28:19 of the first half and the Monarch defense would contain a potent
Lycoming attack which had scored 57 goals in 13 games this year,
averaging 4.4 goals per-contest. King's goalie Dan Upton made six saves
to post the shutout win.
With the win, King's improved to 7-7 overall and
1-3 in Freedom Conference play. Lycoming fell to 11-3 and 2-2.
The Monarchs will return to action Saturday when
King's travels to Doylestown to face Delaware Valley College at 2:00
p.m.
