KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DOWNS BAPTIST BIBLE, 2-1

CLARKS SUMMIT -- Jordan Miller scored both goals, including what proved to be the winning goal with just 2:18 left in the first half as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 victory over host Baptist Bible College Saturday in Clarks Summit.

King's took a 1-0 lead at 28:28 of the first half when Miller scored off an assist from Brett Shipe. Baptist Bible knotted the score at 1-1 just 0:42 later when Nate Miller scored on a Derek Jacobs assist. The score remained tied until Jordan Miller headed in a shot off a pass from Mike McGarry to put the Monarchs on top.

King's held a 20-15 lead in shots while the Defenders had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Monarch goalie Dan Upton made nine saves on the day.

King's, which improved to 6-7, will next host Lycoming Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
