CLARKS SUMMIT -- Jordan Miller scored both goals,
including what proved to be the winning goal with just 2:18 left in the
first half as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 victory
over host Baptist Bible College Saturday in Clarks Summit.
King's took a 1-0 lead at 28:28 of the first half
when Miller scored off an assist from Brett Shipe. Baptist Bible knotted
the score at 1-1 just 0:42 later when Nate Miller scored on a Derek
Jacobs assist. The score remained tied until Jordan Miller headed in a
shot off a pass from Mike McGarry to put the Monarchs on top.
King's held a 20-15 lead in shots while the
Defenders had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Monarch goalie Dan Upton made nine saves on the
day.
King's, which improved to 6-7, will next host
Lycoming Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
