WILKES-BARRE -- The four-time defending MAC Freedom Conference champion Drew University men's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference play as the visiting Rangers posted a 2-0 victory over host King's College Friday at Betzler Fields.

Drew opened the scoring with 25:31 remaining in the first half when Mike Sofolarides drilled a shot from 20 yards out which deflected off a King's defender and past Monarch goalie Dan Upton. The Ranger would put the game away in the second half when Ian Klein scored with 16:02 left off an assist from Tyler Brisk.

Drew outshot King's 18-8 while holding a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. Upton made eight saves in goal for King's while Drew keeper Peter Boyer also posted eight saves.

King's will return to action Wednesday when the Monarchs host Cabrini College at 4:00 p.m.
