DEFENDING CHAMPION DREW DEALS KING'S 4-0 SETBACK
WILKES-BARRE -- In a rematch of the 2001 MAC Freedom Conference matchup,
defending champion Drew University posted a 4-0 victory over host King's
College Sunday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, Drew improved to 9-1-1 overall and 4-0 in MAC Freedom
action. King's slipped to 4-8 and 1-3 in conference play.
Andreas Loazia, Mike Sofolarides, and Tyer Brisk each scored to give the
Rangers a 3-0 half-time lead. Siwat Siengsanoah netted the final goal
with 11:50 remaining or the Rangers. Seingsanoah, Chris Mueller, and
Mike Zulawski contributed assists for Drew who held a 21-three advantage
in shots.
King's goalie Dan Upton made eight saves for king's who will host
Baptist Bible College Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
