KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO WIDENER, 2-1

WILKES-BARRE --  Eric Wyzykowski scored two goals, including the game winner, as visiting Widener University to a 2-1 victory over the King's College men's soccer team Thursday at Betzler Fields.

King's took a 1-0 lead at 37:29 of the first half when Greg Castellani struck net off an assist from Joe Saukulyak.  Widener knotted the score at 25:23 when Wyzykowski scored off an assist from John Musser.

The game remained tied until Wyzykowski scored the deciding goal with 14:54 remaining.

Widener held a 22-16 advantage in shots and a 8-2 lead in corner kicks.  Monarch goalie Dan Upton made nine saves as King's slipped to 4-7 on the year.  

King's return to action Sunday when the Monarchs host defending MAC Freedom Conference champion Drew University at 1:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
