KING'S MENšS SOCCER DOWNS MARYWOOD, 4-1

SCRANTON ­ Greg Castellano scored two goals while Sam Mugavero added a goal and an assist as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 4-1 victory over Marywood University Wednesday in Scranton.

Joe Sakulyak give King's a 1-0 lead with just 1:39 into remaining in the first half off  assist from Brandon Heller. Castellani scored just 0:23 later off a corner from Mugavero.

Marywood cut the lead to 2-1 as Matt Kertesz struck net off an assist from Mike Bovina. But Mugavero put the Monarchs on top 3-1 with a goal off an assist from Heller. Castellani scored the gamešs final goal unassisted with 0:42 left in the contest.

King's outshot Marywood 28-13 and held a 9-8 edge in corner kicks.  Monarch goalie Mark Ferentz made four saves, while Pacer keeper Todd Sharbaugh had eight stops.

King's, which improved to 3-4, will travel to Lycoming Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
