KING’S MEN’S SOCCER DEFEATS ELMIRA, 1-0

ELMIRA, NY – Former Lake Lehman standout Brian Noler scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal in the opening minute of play as the King’s College men’s soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over host Elmira College Saturday in Elmira, NY.

King’s struck quickly when Sam Mugavero sent a crossing pass to Noler who drilled in the first shot of the game just 0:38 onto the contest. The score would hold up as Monarch freshman goalie Dan Upton made 10 saves to seal the King’s victory.

King’s (2-4) outshot Elmira 19-15 while the host squad held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. The Monarchs will return to action Wednesday when King’s travels to face Marywood at 4:00 p.m. in Scranton.
