KING'S COLLEGE SOCCER STUMBLES IN CONFERENCE OPENER
DOYLESTOWN -- For the King's College Men's Soccer team, Paul Racz scored
the lone goal in the fifth minute of the second half in their conference
opener against Delaware Valley. The assist was credited to Dan Carle.
King's record is now 9-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Delaware
Valley improves to 3-4-1 and 1-0 in the conference.
Scoring for the Aggies were midfielder
Joe Mastrine, scoring in the 14th minute and senior Matt Weiler, who
scored in the 26th minute. DelVal was able to score both goals on just
two total shots on the day. King's out shot the Aggies with 24 shots,
allowing goalie Tristian Pierce to make seven saves. In corner kicks,
King's paced Delaware Valley with 14, while the Aggies took none.
King's next game will be Tuesday,
September 30 when they host PSU-Harrisburg. Kick off is set for 7:00pm
under the lights at Betzler Fields.
