FIRST-PLACE MESSIAH DOWNS KING'S 14-8

WILKES-BARRE -- Visiting Messiah College remained unbeaten and in first-place in the Middle Atlantic Conference as the Falcons posted a 14-8 victory over host King's College in men's lacrosse action Wednesday at Betzler Fields.

With the win, Messiah improved to 6-3 overall and 6-0 in the MAC while King's slipped to 2-8 and 2-4 in league play.

Ryan Finch led the Falcon attack with five goals and one assist while Andrew Collins and Alex Finch added two goals and one assist apiece.

King's was paced by Ryan Lachner with three goals while T.J. Lyon followed with two goals. Curtis Reinard and John Booth contributed with one goal and one assist each while Brendan Novotny tallied one goal. Chris Landry and John Doran chipped in with one assist apiece.

King's goalie Andrew Bartle faced 44 shots, making 14 saves on the day.

The Monarchs return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Moravian College in Bethlehem.
