KING'S LACROSSE FALLS TO MISERICORDIA, 11-10

SCRANTON -- Mike Chisholm and Kevin Malkin scored four goals each as College Misericordia edged King's College 11-10 in a non-conference men's lacrosse matchup Wednesday evening at the University of Scranton.

With the loss, King's slipped to 0-4 while Misericordia improved to 1-1.

King's trailed 4-1 after the first period but outscored the Cougars 4-1 in the second quarter to send the game into a 5-5 halftime tie.

Misericordia would take an 11-9 lead midway through the fourth quarter but the Monarchs would attempt to rally. Two straight goals, including the second with 0:14 left in the contest, brought King's to within 11-10.  The Monarchs would win the ensuing face-off and had have one last shot at goal but the attempt sailed wide with 0:01 left.

T.J. Lyon, Brendan Novotny, and Curtis Reinard scored two goals each to lead King's. John Doran, John Booth. Gary Morgan, and Ryan Lachner added one goal each for the Monarchs.

Tim Cassi made 18 saves in goal.

King's returns to action Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Drew University.
