KING'S LACROSSE FALLS TO MESSIAH, 14-3

GRANTHAM -- Perennial Middle Atlantic Conference contender Messiah College remained in the hunt for top honors as the Falcons posted a 14-3 victory over visiting King's College Monday in Grantham.

The Falcons, who built a 9-3 halftime lead, improved to 5-4 overall and 5-1 in the MAC. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 3-7 and 2-5 in conference play.

T.J. Lyon, Gary Morgan, and Chris Hovis netted goals for King's while Paul Moran contributed with two assists.  Tim Cassi played the first half and made nine saves while Andrew Bartle posted eight stops in the second half.

Messiah outshot King's 49-23 and held a 45-22 advantage in ground balls.

King's will be idle until April 19 with a 4:00 p.m. home contest against the University of Scranton.
