KING'S LACROSSE FALLS TO SIXTH-RANKED MESSIAH, 10-1

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-1 decision to the visiting Messiah College, the sixth-ranked team in NCAA Division III.

With the win, Messiah improved to 8-0 and 5-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. King's fell to 4-5 overall and 1-4 in conference games.

King's lone goal came at 7:12 of the second period when Gary Morgan scored off an assist from Chris Ives. The Monarch defense performed admirably in limiting the Falcons to a season low 10 goals for the second time this season.

Jono Linebaugh scored three goals while Denny Erb and Pat Emery tallied two each Alex Finch dished out three assists.

King's will next travel to Williamsport on Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. match with Lycoming College.
