KING'S LACROSSE FALLS TO ELIZABETHTOWN

ELIZABETHTOWN --  Chris Landry scored three goals and added an assist but it wasn't enough as the King's College men's lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought 7-6 decision to host Elizabethtown College Saturday in Elizabethtown. With the loss, King's falls to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference while Elizabethtown improved to 3-5 and 2-1.

Adam Gabriel, Gary Morgan, and John Matusiewicz each scored one goal with an assist while Ryan Thomas chipped in with an assist. Steve Matusiewicz made 12 saves in goal for the Monarchs. 

Elizabethtown, which outshot King's 41-51 and held a 25-15 lead in ground balls, was led by Justin Griffey with two goals while Matt Seiboth added one goal and two assists. Fran McKeever made four stops in net.

King's returns to action Wednesday in Reading with a 4:00 p.m. matchup with Alvernia College.
