WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's lacrosse team overcame a 4-1 first-half deficit to take a 5-4 lead but eventually dropped a 7-5 verdict to Susquehanna University Wednesday at Betzler Fields.

With the loss, King's falls to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conferences. Susquehanna improved to 2-4 and 1-2.

Trailing 4-1, King's battled back to tie the score at 4-4 at the half on two goals from Chris Landry and another from Ryan Thomas. In the third period, Gary Morgan scored off an assist from Matusiewicz to give the Monarchs a 5-4 lead.

Susquehanna would tie score at 5-5 when Justin Mason and Ryan Walters struck net to give the Crusaders a 6-5 lead heading into the final period. Susquehanna would thwart several King's chances and added the final tally when Walters scored the game's final goal with 13:26 left in the contest.
