DREW DOWNS KING'S IN MEN'S LACROSSE, 13-6

WILKES-BARRE -- Tom Stitt scored five goals to lead visiting Drew University to a 13-6 men's lacrosse victory over King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference matchup Wednesday at Betzler Field.

With the win, Drew improved to 5-3 overall and 203 in the MAC. King's fell to 0-9 and 0-5 in conference games.

Drew held a 6-5 halftime lead but outscored the Monarchs 7-1 over the final 30 minutes of the game.

Gary Morgan led the Monarchs with two goals and an assist while John Matusiewicz added a pair of goals. Carlo Ciotoli and John McGuire netted one goal each while Chris Reilly chipped in with one assist. Steve Matusiewicz made seven saves for King's.

Drew was also paced by Eric Siegel with three goals and two assists while Phil Rosenau added two goals and two assists to top the Rangers. Dan Moffo and Jon Villa chipped in with one goal apiece. Drew goalie Jason Woodford made 11 saves.

The Monarchs will travel to DeSales Saturday for a 11:00 a.m. contest in Center Valley.
