MONARCH LACROSSE FALLS TO CENTENARY, 12-5

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- The King's College men's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 after dropping a 12-5 decision to host Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ.

After engaging in a 2-2 tie following the first period, Centenary exploded for five second half gals to take a 7-2 lead into the half-time break to assume control of the contest. The Monarchs would rally to within 8-5 entering the fourth quarter, but the Cyclones scored the final four goals to seal the victory.

Chris Reilly and Tom Pierantozzi each had one goal and one assist, while Mike Brooks, Daryl Hoffman, and Nate Killingsworth added one goal apiece. Colin Baker chipped in with an assist. while Steve Matusiewicz made 27 saves on the day.
