KILLINGSWORTH STARS AS KING'S LACROSSE DEFEATS MISERICORDIA, 15-7
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's lacrosse team posted its first
win of the season Monday with a 15-7 victory over College Misericordia at
Betzler Fields.
Nate Killingsworth enjoyed a record-setting performance for the Monarchs
as he tied a single-game school-record with five goals, set a new record
with six assists, and also established a new record with 11 total points
in one game. The game also marked the first collegiate
coaching victory for first-year Monarch mentor Mike Boyle.
Tom Pierantozzi was also outstanding for the Monarchs as he scored four
goals and dished out an assist. Chris Reilly had two goals and an
assist while Neil Tropiano netted two goals. Chris Ives and Colin
Baker both chipped in with one goal each.
Steve Matusiewicz made 21 saves in goal for the Monarchs who improved to
1-7 on the year.
King's returns to action Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Chester against MAC
power Widener University.
