The Monarchs began a new era in 2002-03
with the hiring of Andy Orlowski as
head coach. A former standout at Elmira College, Orlowski brings
with him a passion for the game as well as the knowledge
needed to elevate the Monarchs to the next level.
Orlowski's contagious enthusiasm has spread throughout the squad and
the Monarch players feel the excitement of being involved with a program
ready to make an upward move.
With a crop of hard-working players looking
forward to the challenge of building a program, men's lacrosse appears
to be headed for a bright future at King's.
King's competes for an opportunity to qualify for the NCAA
Division III National Tournament as the winner of the MAC Tournament
gains an automatic berth into the championship field.
The Monarchs also have a strong track record for academic success. Since
the program began in 1999, King's has 20 players earn MAC All-Academic
honors.
The
men's lacrosse program plays its home games at Robert L. Betzler
Fields, a natural grass facility that will undergo a major facelift with
upcoming plans for the installation of a synthetic turf field that will
make it one of the top field
in the Middle Atlantic Conference. The current facility is a 3,000 seat stadium
at Robert L. Betzler Fields, King's spectacular 33-acre outdoor athletic
complex.
