Andy Orlowski enters his fifth season as head coach of the King's College
men's lacrosse team, joining the program in September of 2002.
A native of Athol Springs, NY, Orlowski is
a 1992 graduate of St. Francis High School where he was a standout
lacrosse player and led his team to the sectional finals. He was also a
member of St. Francis’ ice hockey team.
He then attended Elmira College where he as
a four-year
starter in lacrosse and was named team defensive most valuable
player in 1995 and 1996. He was a team captain in 1994 and was named to
the All-Empire Conference all-star team as a senior. Orlowski earned his
Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Elmira in 1996.
Upon graduating from Elmira, Orlowski began
his coaching career in 1997 at Amherst High School, Amherst, NY where he
was the head junior varsity coach. In 2000, he moved on to The Pennington
School, Pennington, NJ, where he was a full-time teacher and head boy’s
lacrosse coach. In 2001, he guided Pennington to a 10-3 record and the New
Jersey Prep State “B” semifinals. In 2002, he again led Pennington to
the state semi-finals. Orlowski had three players named All-Bianchi
Conference all-stars.
Orlowski, a full-time coach at King's, also doubles as head coach of the
college's club ice hockey team.

Steve Matusiewicz, 3rd season

Steve Matusiewicz returns to the King's staff for his second year
after concluding a stellar career with the Monarchs in 2005.
Matusiewicz was a four-year starter at goalie for King's where he
was a two-time Middle Atlantic Conference all-star selection.
As a senior at King's, Matusiewicz posted an 8.21 goals against
average with 207 saves and stopped 63.7 percent of the shots he
faced to rank first in the MAC and ninth nationally in Division III.
Over the course of his four-year varsity career, Matusiewicz made a
school-record 961 saves, stopping over 200 shots each of his four
years with the program. In 2005, led King's to a 6-10 record, the
most wins produced since the varsity program was started in 1999.

John Matusiewicz joins the King's staff this season after concluding
a fine career with the Monarchs in 2006 where he played in the
midfield for four years. He played three seasons with brother and
fellow assistant coach Steve Matusiewicz.
During his career at King's, Matusiewicz registered 87 points on 78
goals and nine assists. He posted a career-best 32 points in 2005,
tallying 29 goals with three assists. In 2004, he totaled 31 points
on 26 goals and five assists. As a senior he also served as a team
co-captain.
