2008 Season Preview
The King's College golf team enters the spring looking to improve on their Freedom Conference Tournament 4th place team finish in 2007.
Sophomore Mike Wagner (left) is the Monarchs' top returning Freedom Conference finisher, placing eighth as a freshmen while earning second-team All-Freedom Conference honors. Wagner is also a member of the King's varsity men's basketball team.
Junior Mike Kane and sophomore Frank Schiel tied for 12th in the Freedom tourney last year and are both expected to emerge as all-conference contenders. Sophomore Eric Weiscarger also saw a great deal of playing time and will help add experience to the roster.
Newcomers to the team include junior Mike Wendel, sophomore Greg Galowina, and freshmen Mike Bannon, Brian Kerstetter, Ruyan Murphy, Tyler Shipp, Kevin Toole, and Ross VanLaarhoven. Kerstetter is regarded as the top incoming player and is expected to emerge as a regular in the team's rotation.
